Is there a software platform that is perfect, or foolproof?

No, perfect software systems do not exist, that is why the idea of a backup is of paramount importance in computing. Backing up data is the first step toward a reliable data protection policy. There are uncountable backup solutions offered by all sorts of providers but few solutions beat Microsoft’s cloud backup. Microsoft cloud service (Azure Backup) is one of the most cost-effective and trustworthy methods of data backup.

About Microsoft Azure Backup

Azure Backup is Microsoft’s backup solution that enables you to protect your data in the Microsoft cloud and restore it when needed. The solution offers you multiple components for download and deployment on computers, server, or the cloud. The component you deploy depends on the data you want to protect.

Cloud backup doesn’t require any additional infrastructure and is thus less expensive compared to traditional backup methods. It also keeps your data secure from attackers since multiple authentication layers are used.

Benefits of using Microsoft Cloud Backup Service

Unlimited scaling

The Microsoft cloud has an unlimited scale and power to deliver high-availability. Whatever your information and computing needs are, you can use Microsoft backup without the worries of maintenance or overheads.

Accessibility

Microsoft cloud stores off-site copies of your data. These copies can be accessed from any device or destination with the Internet connection. In addition to providing a measure of insurance in case of a regional disaster, cloud backup enables a business to realize the efficiency and cost savings of outsourcing data backup. Organizations looking for an inexpensive way of maintaining a disaster recovery (OR) infrastructure find Microsoft cloud to be an attractive solution since with it there’s no need to build a separate DR infrastructure.

Unlimited data transfer

With Azure Backup, there is no limit to the amount of inbound or outbound data that you can transfer. Outbound data is the data transferred from the cloud during a restore operation. You are not charged for data transfer unless you are using the Azure Import/Export utility for large data amounts whereby inbound data has an attached cost.

Broader protection of data and IT assets

Data can be encrypted and securely transmitted/stored it in a public cloud. You just have to preserve the encryption passphrase on a local device; it is not transmitted or stored in the cloud. When you need to restore any data, you only need the encryption passphrase.

Azure Backup can also be used to protect endpoints such as tablets and laptops that aren’t part of on-premise enterprise backup. This means you can do away with tape vaulting.

Storage replication

Microsoft cloud backup services offer two backup options: locally redundant storage (LRS) and geo-redundant storage (GRS).

LRS is a low-cost option that creates three copies of your data All the three copies exist within the same region. This storage option helps to avoid data loss from local hardware failures.

GRS replicates data to a secondary location that’s hundreds of miles away from the primary location. Although CRS costs more than LRS, it is recommended because you will still get your data even in the event of a regional outage.

Azure Backup is among the plethora of cloud computing services Enfrasys offers. Whatever your backup needs are, you can rely on Enfrasys IT consultants to recommend or build and deploy a secured cloud solution Malaysia that will meet your business needs within your budget.
